The Arundel House of Hope, Inc. is a non-profit 501C(3)eccumenical organization dedicated to providing support services for the homeless of our community. Founded in 1992 by James Fouse, Arundel House of Hope began as a community movement, supported by local churches and volunteers, to address the issue of homelessness. Through the inception of the Winter Relief Program, a rotating weekly shelter running from November to April, the organization began working with men who are homeless by providing temporary shelter, meals, clothing, and other support services. Since its inception, Arundel House of Hope has grown to encompass program offerings in several areas, addressing the needs of both men, women and families experiencing homelessness in Anne Arundel County.
Currently the Arundel House of Hope is supported by over forty local churches and organizations and over 2,000 volunteers. Each year it serves over 500 men and women who are experiencing homelessness. It strives to counsel, guide and assist these people to become independent, improving the quality of life for them and the community.
