The Gathering Place Banquet Facility

We are proud to be able to offer the community a truly elegant banquet facility. The Gathering Place at Our Lady of the Chesapeake is a perfect location for wedding receptions, celebrations, formal or informal private parties, business presentations, luncheons, seminars and other special events. It is also available for rent to anyone who would want to hold a for-profit commercial enterprise, political fund-raiser, or business activity in the banquet hall.
The Gathering Place is a beautifully decorated banquet facility that is approximately 4500 square feet in size with a 400 square foot dance floor. It can accommodate up to 220 people for formal dining, or 200 people for buffet-style dining. 
 
In addition, we also offer several rooms, varying in size from 300 to 600 square feet.  These rooms are ideal for use as "breakout rooms"  for larger business meetings, presentations, or seminars held in the main hall; or just simply for smaller private affairs or meetings. 

The Gathering Place includes a wonderfully large, state-of-the-art kitchen that can be used by professional caterers or by those who wish to cater for themselves.
There is ample parking for nearly 150 vehicles and The Gathering Place is, of course, totally accessible to the handicapped.

The Gathering Place at Our Lady of the Chesapeake is available:

   Weekdays – 8 am through 1 am

   Saturdays – 8 am through 4pm; and 7 pm through 1 am

   Sundays – 1 pm through 1 am

Banquet Hall Sample Pricing is based on typical 4-hour event (final price is dependent on duration, day of week, nature of event, and  specific rental "package" selected):

Base Price (includes hall, tables, chairs):

Monday - Thursday $ 1000
Friday/Sunday $ 1200
Saturday $ 1500

IN ADDITION TO THE BASE PRICE, THE FOLLOWING OPTION IS AVAILABLE:

Amenities Package (includes: banquet table skirting, table linens, napkins, china, glassware, tableware, soda fountain (soft) drinks, coffee w/ urns, disposable cups): $2000

e.g., a four-hour event on a Saturday, with the Amenities Package would be $3500.

The kitchen facility at The Gathering Place is also available for rent to professional caterers at $75/hour on Mon-Fri; and $100/hour on Sat-Sun.  A 3-hour minimum is required along with a $100 refundable security deposit.
