Caritas House Assisted Living

  Are you or a loved one having difficulty living independently?

Caritas House Assisted Living is a 60-studio apartment community located at The Jenkins Senior Living Community in Catonsville. Assisted living is designed to help seniors who can no longer live independently and require some help in performing basic daily activities. Residents are able to receive assistance with activities of daily living which include bathing, meals, toileting and dressing. Assisted living also offers medication management, housekeeping, laundry and recreational and cultural activities.

Residents of Caritas House will be offered a comfortable, home-like living environment. Residents can enjoy two fireplaces as well as a private dining room that is available for family celebrations.

The spiritual well-being of our residents is the essence of our mission. Caritas House will offer a nurturing pastoral care program that will assist residents and their families through the transition to their new home and with any of their spiritual needs. In addition, daily mass will be offered in our campus chapel, as well as on closed-circuit television in each resident's apartment. Ecumenical services are also offered during the week.

Catholic Charities also offers "Answers for the Aging" as a free and confidential information and referral service for older adults, their families, friends and caregivers. Referral counselors/specialists take the time to listen to callers' questions and concerns, helping to identify the specific type of service(s) needed by providing appropriate referrals and assistance in contacting the provider, if needed. Hours of operation are Monday 9am to 8pm; and Tuesday thru Friday 9am to 4pm. There is a Spanish-speaking Counselor/Specialist available all day Monday and Tuesday afternoons.
